That Jesus dies, as the work of both Jews and Non-Jews; that his death is unwarranted and unjust; that his death is the event at which salvation is won— all captivate the gospel writers. And yet, each brings their own perspective. Each draws out slightly differing emphases and nuances, with the effect that we see this event as a multi-faceted whole.
